Atlantic City Tourist Information

The meeting in 2016 will be at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City, NJ. The following information was taken from the Visit AC website at and the online interactive visitor’s guide and are just suggestions for things to do and see. The resort is located at 777 Harrah’s Blvd., Atlantic City (see the Google map below).


For those driving to the meeting, AsMA has negotiated free self-parking at Harrah’s and a one-time $10 fee for valet parking.

Beach & Boardwalk

The Boardwalk is 5.5 miles long and there are many restaurants, shops, attractions, etc. along it. The official visitor’s center is located at Mississippi Ave. inside Historic Boardwalk Hall. Bicycling is permitted on the Boardwalk from 6 AM to 10 AM May through September and 6 AM to 12 PM and 4 PM to 7 PM October through April. Beach goers are advised that swimming at the beach is best between the hours of 10 AM to 6 PM during the summer when there is a lifeguard available.


  • Central Pier Arcade & Speedway: 1400 Boardwalk, Tennessee & the Boardwalk; Offers paintball, crane games, skeeball, games of chance, and NASCAR go karts.
  • Steel Pier: 1000 Boardwalk; Offers kiddie rides, extreme rides, an amusement arcade, and food.


  • Atlantic City Cruises, Inc.: Historic Gardner’s Basin, 800 N. New Hampshire Ave.; Daily sightseeing that includes dolphin watching and cocktail cruises.
  • Atlantic City Trolley Tours: 821 Shunpike Rd.; Guided sightseeing tours of Atlantic City’s attractions.

Art/Culture/Historic Sites

  • Atlantic City Art Center: Garden Pier on the Boardwalk at New Jersey Ave.; Showcases exhibitions, concerts, gallery talks, artist demonstrations, and literary readings.
  • Atlantic City Historical Museum: Garden Pier on the Boardwalk at New Jersey Ave.; Presents the diverse history of Atlantic city through vintage photos, local artifacts, and a video presentation.
  • Civil Rights Garden: Pacific Ave. & Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.; 609-347-0500. Offers a public sculpture garden with winding pathways, Gingko trees, and sculptures honoring the architects of the civil rights movement.
  • New Jersey Korean War Memorial: Brighton Park, Park Place & the Boardwalk; A memorial to those who served in the Korean War.
  • Atlantic City Aquarium: 800 N. New Hampshire Ave.; Exhibits of more than 100 varieties of marine life with touch tanks and interactive exhibits.
  • Haunted Tales: 1535 Boardwalk between Kentucky and New York Ave.; An animated theater offering tales of the Jersey Devil and pirates.
  • Absecon Lighthouse/IPPA: 31 S. Rhode Island Ave.; New Jersey’s tallest lighthouse (228 steps) with views of the Atlantic City skyline.

Theaters & Concerts

  • Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall: 2301 Boardwalk; Atlantic’s City’s showplace for concerts, sporting events, and family shows.
  • Dante Hall Theater of the Arts: 14 N. Mississippi Ave.; A restored performance space with live concerts, professional and amateur theater and performing arts, children’s theater, and more.
  • Kephart’s Comedy Stop: The Quarter at Tropicana, 2801 Pacific Ave., 3rd floor; Presents up-and-coming stars of stand-up comedy.

  • Chart House: Brigantine Blvd. (inside Golden Nugget); High-end seafood and steakhouse with views of the marina.
  • Fornelletto: 1 Borgata Way (inside the Borgata Hotel); Southern Italian specialties.
  • Grotto Ristorante: Brigantine Blvd. & Huron Ave. (inside Golden Nugget); Homemade Italian food influenced by Neapolitan.  
  • Tony Luke’s Borgata: 1 Borgata Way (inside the Borgata Hotel); Serves Philly cheesesteaks, subs, and burgers.
  • Wolfgang Puck American Grille: 1 Borgata Way (inside the Borgata Hotel); Offers pizzas, sandwiches, and other light fare.
