Mayo Clinic Warns Against Early COVID Booster

Amid reports of waning COVID-19 immunity, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is expected to officially approve a third dose of messengerRNA vaccines for the general public. However, Mayo Clinic experts say the pending FDA approval for a booster vaccine does not mean the general public should go out and get a third dose of vaccine whenever they think they need it.

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has signed an updated Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Fire Protection Research Foundation on activities related to emergency responder protective clothing and equipment (PPE) and the development of standards concerning first responder safety, deployment, operations, and the protection of emergency personnel.
