AOPA: The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) announced several changes to their leadership. CEO and President Mark Baker and Chairman of the Board William C. Trimble III had both announced they would be stepping down at the end of 2024. AOPA has chosen Darren Pleasance will take over as President and CEO and James N. Hauslein will become the new Chairman, both effective January 1, 2025. ALPA: The Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) recently welcomed the selection of Rep. Rick Larsen to continue as Ranking Member and the reappointment of Rep. Sam Graves as Chair of the House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. They also thanked Michael Whitaker, administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, for his service after he announced his resignation, which will be effective January 20, 2025.
