Pilot Medical Solutions: Pilot Medical Solutions announced that over 6000 pilots have completed an FAA Basic Medical Rule safety course. They also announced that they are seeking to hire more gurus. Both announcements can be found at https://www.leftseat.com/press/.

IFALPA: The International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA) has released a safety bulletin regarding work being done at Palermo Airport (LICJ). There is also work concurrently going on at Trapani Airport (LITC), which is normally the first alternate for Palermo. AFBA: The Armed Forces Benefit Association (AFBA) will be partnering with American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company to transition American Equity’s National Guard and Firefighter Group Insurance to AFBA. American Equity currently insures over 65,000 National Guard members and over 13,000 fire fighters. ALPA: The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), have issued a statement commending the Department of Transportation’s “Forces to Flyers” initiative. This program is aimed at increasing career opportunities for veterans who want to become professional pilots.
