The primary purpose of the AOHP Annual conference is to educate Occupational Health Professionals in Healthcare with the principles and practices of Occupational Health and Medicine, advocating for employee health and safety, providing health and safety advancement through best practice and research developing and maintaining exemplary standards of practice for professionals who practice in healthcare setting.

This conference provides education program to educate employee health professionals, case manager, physicians/medical providers in all disciplines, with the principles and practices of Occupational Health as it is related to healthcare industry. Ultimately, these activities should enhance health care delivery and quality of care to workers in the healthcare environment. The Program offers the opportunity to become recognized for having the specialized skills, knowledge and experience of case management, promoting quality practice, ethical standards and behavior, science-based knowledge development, and a heightened understanding of the role and function of today's professional practices. Content Areas Content Areas for achieving the mission for AOHP includes conducting workshops, courses, and symposia on specific topics with the field of Occupational Health as it relates to the healthcare industry. General categories of these specific topics include the aging workforce, business side of Occupational Health, clinical, construction, emotional health, ergonomics, injury prevention, effectiveness of case management in loss control and accident investigation, program design, wellness, and workers' compensation, as other relevant issues for the Occupational Health Professional in Healthcare. Learning Objectives At the end of the conference, participants should be able to: 1) Discuss current trends, evidence-based practices in Occupational Health in Healthcare 2) Design and organize programs in Occupational Health in Healthcare. 3) Identify and utilize resources available for practicing Occupational Health in the Healthcare setting.
