Jones Quoted in WSJ Article

Prof. Jeffrey A. Jones, M.D., a Fellow and Life Member of AsMA, was quoted in a Wall Street Journal article on the lack of regulation of suborbital space travel.

Unlike commercial flight, there is no protection from the Federal government for spaceflight participants. Dr. Jones, a flight surgeon who has worked with NASA astronauts, was interviewed regarding the risks spaceflight passengers may face. Unlike most airline flights, passengers can experience more serious medical issues such as vomiting from the weightlessness or injury that can occur when gravity returns if a passenger isn’t strapped in.
