Hosegood Continues as IAMA President

Ian Hosegood, M.B.B.S., FRACGP, FRACMA, FACAsM, D.Av.Med., PGDipOEM, will continue as President of the International Airline Medical Association (formerly the Airlines Medical Directors Association).

The organization decided to postpone their election and induction of new officers until 2021 due to concerns over Covid-19 and its impact on the airline industry. Dr. Hosegood is the Director of Medical Services with Qantas Airways Limited based in Sydney, Australia. He is a Board member on the Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine (ASAM) and the  Australasian Medical Review Officer Association (AMROA). He is also an AMROA faculty member and holds an academic position with the Bond University Aeromedical Program. Ian has a particular interest in the occupational medicine challenges of the aviation industry, including fitness for duty, fatigue risk management (FRMS), alcohol and other drug misuse, aircraft air quality issues, and aircrew ccupational exposure to cosmic radiation.
