Hydrospace Group, Inc., is the newest Corporate & Sustaining Member of the Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA).

   The company’s experience in Pressure Vessels for Human Occupancy (PVHO) includes manned submersibles as well as land-based pressure vessels. The Space Simulator Pressure Vessel (SSPV) is a PVHO certified altitude chamber. A hypobaric chamber, or altitude chamber, is a chamber used during aerospace or high terrestrial altitude research or training to simulate the effects of high altitude on the human body, especially hypoxia (low oxygen) and hypobaria (low ambient air pressure). The chamber can hold up to a 10-person crew, provides exceptional visibility inside and out during simulation of flight, and ascent/descent pressure profiles to an altitude of 100,000 ft. The SSPV is designed, fabricated, assembled, inspected, tested, and certified in accordance with the ASME PVHO-1 standard.
