The Aerospace Human Factors Association (AsHFA) held their luncheon and meeting on Monday, May 14, 2012, at the Aerospace Medical Association's Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA. At the meeting, they gave out their awards.

AsHFA Fellows 2012

The new class of AsHFA Fellows, pictured above with Mal Cohen (left), Chair of the AsHFA Fellows, is as follows from left to right: Dwight Holland, Don White, Valerie Martindale, and Bill Albery (AsHFA President 2011-2012).

2012 Student Award

The winners of the student award were Daniel Park, Hirsh Patel, and Brian Lee. Their advisor, Dr. Melissa Kinard, stands on the right. The students won the award for their project entitled “The Effect of Propeller Diameter on Torque Reaction.”

Henry L. Taylor Founder’s Award	William E. Collins Award
In the photo above, Bill Ercoline (left), this year’s winner of the Henry L. Taylor Founder’s Award, poses with Bill Albery (right), AsHFA President.	The Collins Award was received by Andy McKinley, LIndsey McIntire, and Margaret A. Funke for their paper “Operator Selection for Unmanned Aerial Systems: Comparing Video Game Players and Pilots” published in ASEM 2011; 82:635-42. Above, Lindsey McIntire (left) accepts the award from Bill Albery (right) on behalf of her co-authors.

Stanley N. Roscoe Award	2012 Lecturer
Maj. Tom Dubhe, pictured above right, was the winner of the Roscoe Award for his paper “A novel malware target recognition architecture for enhanced cyberspace situation awareness.” He was presented with the award by the AFIT Chancellor, Dr. Todd Stewart, Maj. Gen. (Ret.), in July at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Wright-Patterson AFB.	Pictured above is Peter Hancock (left), the 2011 winner of the Henry L. Taylor Founder’s Award and this year’s lecturer at the luncheon, standing with Valerie Martindale (right), President of AsHFA for 2012-2013.
