Colonel (res) Marck Haerkens, RNLAF (Royal Netherlands Air Force) Pilot-Physician and IAMFSP member, has been awarded the “General Snijders honour's Diploma” for his work on the cutting edge of Military Aviation and Aerospace Medicine. The Award was presented by General (res) Dick Berlijn, former Commander in Chief of the Dutch Armed Forces in May 2009.

Dr. Vimal Scott Kapoor, B.Sc., M.D., M.Sc. (Public Health), of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, recently became Board-certified in Aerospace Medicine. He was also recently awarded the Canada Space Agency Award for the Aerospace Medicine Course at UTMB in Galveston. He holds a Diploma from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Canadian Board Certification in Primary Care/Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Preventive and Public Health Medicine, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is currently an Emergency Physician at Markham-Stouffville Hospital.
